RAID LEVELS

RAID 0 allows data to be split into blocks written to all drive arrays.

Advantages

This type of RAID offers excellent throughput for reading and writing. Excellent for back testing data on, for example, MetaStock or TradeStation.

Disadvantages

If you lose one drive you loose all your data from both drives. Not suitable for mission critical day-trading.
