This is the most common RAID. Data is transferred to each drive. This is done by independent write and read operations. You need 3 drives for this to work.

Advantages

This type of RAID can survive a disk failure. Give excellent through put and redundancy. This a a good RAID good for both speed and redundancy.

Disadvantages

This is a complex RAID system.
