Removing the air duct is easy.

Here is the case with the removed air duct. There is also a support plastic unit on the inside back of the case. This is removed just by sliding it one way and it comes out easily.

Plenty of space inside the case

Now you can see there is plenty of space to put the motherboard and video cards in the case. I installed the motherboard, hard disk drive, CDRW and floppy in the unit. Everything fit nicely. Cable management was also excellent. Cable management is important for proper air flow. The case is designed to fit most motherboards perfectly. We used the Intel motherboard in this example. All the cables from the power supply, the hard disk drives, floppy and CDRW fit this case perfectly. Much of the wires can be attached to the metal bar going across the top of the case by the power supply. It best to use nylon ties to attach the wires of the case so they are out of the way of air flow. You want the air to move from the front of the case to the rear and out of the back.

Notice that there is enough space for the cables and wires in the space beside the air duct.

Plenty of room for cables and wires

Notice the variable fan control in the above picture. It is that little white box on the end of the white wire on top of the air duct.  It is attached to the rear 120mm fan of the case. It gives you three speeds. In most cases you can set the fan to the low speed to provide plenty of air movement, since it is a large 120mm fan. This large fan pushes much more air than the standard 80mm fan used in most cases. It has a lower speed and therefore lower noise.
