The front of the case is nice looking, just like the original Sonata. The front door closes and covers the drive, given the case its clean look. Because of the double hinge door design, it allows the door to open up to 270º, which is a major improvement over the first Sonata.

The reset button and start buttons are behind the front door.

Front port connectors.

Also in the front of the case is the USB 2.0 ports, IEEE 1394 (FireWire®,i.Link®) & Audio ports. This is under a cover so it does not get dirty when not used.

Keylock and front LED indicators.

The front cover closes to still show the LED indicator lights still visible. The key lock is also available to lock the front cover and the side cover.

Another big improvement on the Sonata II is the bigger air intake opening on the lower front cover. This gives it better airflow through the case.
