Remote Control: One very convenient feature is the remote control. It has all the standard buttons to turn the TV on and off, volume control and to change channels.

Now lets go through some of the specifications from above about this monitor.

Contrast Ratio: 350:1. This the difference in light intensity between the light and the black on the screen. The higher the contrast ratio on a LCD the better the image and it produces a brighter and sharper image. The contrast ratio on this monitor is acceptable an produces an excellent screen image. We tested this unit with computer, DVD and TV inputs and we found them to be generally sharp and clear.

Response Time: The response time is the total length of time that it takes a pixel to go to on state to an off state. In playing games a slow response time will cause a blurring effect or a shadow. The best response time for games should be 16ms or less. This monitor has 25ms response time, which is acceptable since it only has a 15-inch size screen.

Brightness: This measures the greatest amount of light that comes from a screen displaying white. A brightness level of 250cd/ms or greater is excellent for LCDs. This monitor has 300cd/m2 which is excellent.

Connections: The unit connects directly to a VCR, DVD through its connections on its side or to a computer via a analog video connection.

Side Connections: The side of the panel conveniently controls its onscreen menu. Volume, Input controls and channels can be be easily adjusted with rocker switches or buttons.

Front of Unit: The front of the unit has a headset jack and on/off light indicator. On the side you can see the off and on switch. By plugging in a jack, it automatically disables the front two stereo monitors from working.

Multiple Uses:

Traders: This monitor has several uses and has some benefits over a standard monitor. If you are a multiple-monitor trader it can be used as a TV to watch CNBC to keep you up with the latest news and various financial programs. A at-home trader usually needs to be entertained to prevent boredom. Since the unit has a built in TV turner, it does not take away any system resources from your trading computer. It can also function as an additional monitor for you to trade with. Many traders usually like to use such smaller 15" monitors as for order entry, for chat rooms or for web financial news.

Exercisers: It can also be used for placing in front of exercise equipment such as treadmills, exercise bikes, etc. Pedestal stands are now available for such purposes.
