Warranty
Trading computers are designed specifically for
multiple-monitor trading environments and are intended for more precise
use by investors, day-traders and investors. These computers are more
complicated than your normal Dell/HP consumer grade home computer. They
are made of higher quality parts and generally run much faster and
cooler and are optimized for trading. Most trading software as well as
regular general purpose software will work much better on these trading
computers than on a standard home computer.
Since these trading computers are generally under tremendous stress,
they are put under a 72-hr extensive burn-in test after they are built.
Most defective parts generally fail in the first 50 hours of operation.
Our stress testing eliminates most part failures.
Computer Warranty Services, LLC is the largest warranty company in the
United States. They handle our onsite warranty service. They have
recently expanded their onsite services in all 50 states, Canada and eve
selected areas in Europe. They can provide you with the support of some
10,750 technicians nationwide. They provide 24/7/365 toll free help disk
support for hardware for your computer. They also provide next business
day onsite service for repairs of your computer and in some cases even
same day onsite repair. The next day hard repair is, of course, subject
to parts availability.
How does the system work? If your trading computer breaks down and you
are unable to figure out what the problem is, all you need to do is to
call Computer Warranty Services on their 24/7 Toll Free Help Desk
Support Line and one of their technicians will diagnose the problem and
if it requires parts or labor the technician will setup an onsite visit
for your around your schedule within 48 hours.
This eliminates having to take your computer into a local computer shop
and wait may days for it to be repaired and not really knowing how much
it will cost for repairs or for parts. Many local computer shops charge
$85+ per hour plus the retail costs of parts to repair your system.
So when onsite repair is required from Computer Warranty Services, you
set the appointment time. No more waiting for the technician to show up
like the cable man. If you want the technician to show up at 9:00am then
a certified technician will be there on time. He works around your
schedule. This removes the unknown costs and stress of having a mission
critical trading computer.
Computer Warranty Services also now provides with every warranty sold
1GB of online storage. This is excellent to backup your critical trading
files.
Our Trading Computers are warranted against defects in materials for a
period of 1 year. We are not liable for any loss of use or loss of data
that is result of any computer failure.
Our warranty does not cover any damage that you and any other person do
to the computer or you do to yourself in opening the computer case and
adding or removing parts and unplugging or plugging computer cables. We
are not liable for any incorrect installation of a part, which damages
the entire computer.
Lightning damage to your computer is not covered and is usually covered
by your home and business insurance.
Your computer is not warranted to excessive room temperature of more
than 80 degrees). You also need to allow proper ventilation to your
computer. There should be sufficient space around the computer such as
its sides, back and top of the case to allow sufficient air flow.
To be covered by any of our warranties, you must have a quality Surge
Suppressor connected to your computer all the time.
Our warranties do not cover any thing that you our any other person does
to damage the unit.
Our warranties do not cover any possible re-loading of any software that
you or we originally put on the computer. PCAngel does have the ability
to restore the computer the way we sent it you you.
Barebone computers are only covered for the first 30 days by us and then
are covered directly by the manufacturer.
If one attempt by a on-site technician does not fix the computer, we may
have to recall the computer to fix it at our facility. You will be
required to ship the computer to us in a double box and the computer
needs to be insured. Please keep the shipping double box that your
computer came it for shipping it back to us.
You should also clean the filters on the computer and occasional blow
out the dust from the computer with air can. Excessive dust in a
computer will cause the computer fans and eventually the computer to
fail due to excessive heat and is not covered under warranty.
Any damage due to overclocking that you do or anyone else does is not
covered by warranty. Overclocking may result in damage to the CPU,
Memory and motherboard and due to excessive heat to the entire computer.
If there is a problem with your computer you may be need to do certain
actions at our direction to recover your computer and troubleshoot the
computer. Some of these actions may take a several hours to perform at
our direction. This cooperation is required for you to be covered by the
on-site service. If you don’t wish cooperate then you will need to mail
in the trading computer in a padded computer box. It is recommended that
you use the double padded box that the computer was shipped in.
Our total liability shall not be greater than the original purchase
price under any circumstances.
Types of our warranties:
1 Year Parts and Labor (standard)
You must send in your computer for repair and we will fix it and return
the computer back to you.
1 Year Onsite Labor and Parts – (optional and extendable)
On-Site parts are shipped overnight bases on availability. Labor is
scheduled by you with CWS.
Monitors, Keyboard, Mice, Headsets, Cables warranty is handled directly
by manufactures.
Exclusion of Certain Computer-Related Losses.
Halliker’s Inc. dba Traders World (Sonata and Trading-Computers) is not
responsible and will not pay for loss (“loss”) or damage caused directly
or indirectly by the following. Such loss (“loss”) or damage is excluded
regardless of any other cause or even that contributes concurrently or
in any sequence to the loss (“loss”) or damage.
1.The failure, malfunction or inadequacy of:
a. Any of the following, whether belonging to any insured or to others:
(1) Computer hardware, including microprocessors;
(2) Computer application software;
(3) Computer operating systems and related software:
(4) Computer networks:
(5) Microprocessors (computer chips) not part of any computer system; or
(6) Any other computerized or electronic equipment components; or
b. Any other products, and any services, data or functions that directly
or indirectly use or rely upon, in any manner, any of the items listed
in Paragraph A.1.a or this document due to the inability to correctly
recognize, process, distinguish, interpret or accept one or more dates
or times. An example is the inability of computer software to recognize
the year 2000.
2.Any advise, consultation, design, evaluation, inspection,
installation, maintenance, repair, replacement or supervision provided
or done by you or for you to determine, rectify or test for, any
potential or actual problems described in Paragraph A.1. of this
document.
You can return the computer for a refund* within 21 days after your
receipt of the computer if you disagree with the trading computer
warranty and the exclusion of certain computer-related losses. By
keeping the computer beyond the 21 days you are accepting these terms.
* Open software and any damaged hardware is not returnable.
